BARRACK HEIGHTS PUBLIC PRESCHOOL
Work is underway to deliver a new public preschool at Barrack Heights Public School.
The new public preschool will provide quality, play-based, intentional educational learning programs guided by the Early Years Learning Framework in a safe and engaging environment for preschool children.
The preschool will accommodate up to 40 children per day and include:
• 2 preschool rooms
• an outside play area
• administration area, amenities, staff kitchen and storage.
Progress summary
Works to concrete the retaining walls for the new building and the concrete pours have been
completed. Earthworks, that include digging trenches to carry services like plumbing, electricity
and the internet are being carried out. Work on the building itself is progressing, with the frames erected and roof being installed.
Next steps
Work over the coming months will include:
• cladding, which means the installation of the outer covering of the building
• installing services and fit out of the building
• earthworks to the surrounds of the building.
